Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously develops knowledge and could provide direction and guidance on guidelines for design systems and standards relevant to engineering codes, as well as B&V policies. Provides technical direction to other people in relation to the projects and disciplines.
  • Independently applies knowledge and is in compliance with B&V quality policy in relation to the assigned task. The individual is responsible for monitoring conformance with B&V quality guidelines. Offers direction and guidance to other employees. Assists in continuous improvement and changes the management process.
  • Creates a range of complex engineering deliverables for large or multi-projects. Performs research that is complex and creates suggestions for equipment or materials selection. The supervisor supervises the collection, assimilation, and administration of engineering data. Develops complicated engineering calculations using established methods and concepts. Manages budget as well as schedule and quality specifications. Utilizes advanced methods of analysis and engineering and techniques. Delegates the appropriate tasks to lower-level team members to build the depth of project execution personnel. Review lower-level engineering work or tasks. Responsible for any or all of the following tasks: leading teams of production, coordinating multidisciplinary activities, and acting as the person in charge of an entire project.
  • Coordinates with other team members, both internal and external, for moderately complicated projects.
  • Responsible for the identification of the most important client needs and drivers for projects from moderately simple to complex. Communicates the client's interests and driving factors to members of the project team and formulates strategies to meet these issues in the execution of the work for projects that are low to moderately complex. Supports the pursuit or development of business and could also provide additional assistance to clients.
  • Awarded the title of technical specialist and has the knowledge and skills in the area of providing advice and direction to teams of projects in a specific area of practice. Could design a complete project with a moderately complex scope or assist with multiple projects that deal with the challenging technical issues. Actively promotes knowledge management and offers mentoring. Can develop and apply new techniques and concepts in engineering to specific engineering issues.
  • Typically, they assist with managing performance, coaching, and recognition, as well as any corrective measures required. Can be involved in career development, as well as training and development. Actively assists lower-level professionals and assists in identifying successors to train on specifics of their roles.
  • Can assist in resource management strategies. The engineer may be responsible for managing the resources of small teams within one discipline. They may be accountable for certain administrative duties that may include, but are not limited to:
