Essential Job Functions

This job requires safe work habits and safe work performance, advocacy for safe work conditions, the ability to do risk analysis, and the ability to determine safe methods for any condition encountered.

Ability to read and interpret machine prints & schematics for machines, piping systems, fabrications as well as hydraulics & pneumatics.

Repair and troubleshoot complex machine and process problems using a logical approach to identify and decide on corrective action, including a root-cause analysis of failures.

Show knowledge and practices for proper task planning from scoping a job to figuring material/part needs and proper sequence to complete the task.

Make mechanical repairs and replacements that include pneumatic and hydraulic systems, plumbing and other fluid/piped systems and equipment.

Preventive maintenance on mechanical power transmission equipment, setup and alignment of gear and belt driven equipment.
