Maintenance Technician

West is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for the upkeep and repair of breakdown moulding equipment (including but not limited to; moulding machines, automation/robots, Thermalcompany water heaters, Thermalcompany oil heaters, conveyors, and hot runner controls).
  Assist the Production Managers in troubleshooting equipment/plant issues.
• Develops and maintains relationships with both customers and suppliers in order to engage in continuous improvement and business development.
• Organizes and/or attends internal meetings for purposes of establishing priorities and selecting tasks.
• Addresses customer issues as they arise in coordination with the Quality department.
• In partnership with authorized suppliers, investigates new processes or systems for equipment maintenance/manufacturing; implement new processes and systems as developed in alignment with the Operations Manager.
• Instructors others, both formally or informally, in specific business related skills or knowledge, and assists with training employees when new processes or systems have been introduced to the plant.
• Ensure compliance with site requirements related to Environmental, Health and Safety, including any required training.
• Provide support and participate in Lean Sigma programs and activities to achieve the set target.
• Complete other duties as assigned by direct manager.
