Pump Shop Technician

FINCANTIERI MARINE REPAIR LLC is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Pump Shop Technician to join their dynamic team. The selected candidate will ensure the fleet operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in daily operations.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures all safety processes, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and achieved
• Possess knowledge of HAZWOPER and RCRA safety standards pertaining to hazardous and non-hazardous material handling.
• Ensures material is appropriately marked, in compliance with DOT regulations, is labeled, and manifested shipment as per Company policies.
• Safely operates the pump truck and oversee the pumping operations for all pumping projects.
• Safely operates the wastewater treatment plant in accordance with permit standards.
• Ensures that the pre-operational checklist is completed.
• Responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of pump shop equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment and provides minor repair work.
• Provides update daily on the quality and progress of work.
• Ensures the readiness of machines and equipment in the assigned area of responsibility.
• Provides pump shop team with daily safety instruction.
