Maintenance Fitter - Mechanical

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, inspect, and repair equipment for mechanical use, such as separators and pasteurizers: conveyors, presses,s and packing machines.
• Find faults and take corrective actions to reduce production interruptions.
• Make sure you are performing routine maintenance and adjustments, as well as replacing parts.
• Set up scheduled maintenance plans to extend the life of equipment and decrease breakdowns.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and the performance of equipment.
• Make sure all maintenance activities comply with the strict hygiene standards for the production of food.
• Be sure to follow cleaning-in-place (CIP) guidelines when working with dairy equipment.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP guidelines.
• You must adhere to the health and safety rules and procedures for lockout/tagout.
• Recognize and report any dangers while ensuring that there is a safe work environment for everyone.
• Respect environmental and sustainable standards.
• Collaborate with the production teams to reduce the amount of downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Contact external contractors and suppliers in the event that specialized repairs or replacement parts are needed.
