Veolia is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Operations & Maintenance professional to join its dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Conducts an inspection and performs physical, electric, or pneumatic troubleshooting in order to determine repairs required. Estimates the time and materials costs for the projects assigned. Removes equipment in order to gain access to and fix damaged components using hand equipment, as well as power tools and measuring and testing tools. Reassembles and tests equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of operation is restored.
  • Examine flow meters, gauge pressures, flow ratios, and related controls on computers and the programmable logic control units. It also determines the root of operational issues. Performs corrective actions as per the procedure within the area assigned. Examines and reports any suspected issues and deviations to the supervisor.
  • Performs routine maintenance and preventative maintenance, lubrication, and small adjustments to machines and equipment, which could include engines, pumps, centrifuges, generators, valves,s mixers, gates, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed and disinfection equipment, odor control, belt presses, and vacuum filters. Reports any operational issues that arise with equipment or machines to supervisors or the Lead.
  • The ability to fabricate components and devices using steel. Can weld threaded pipe, solder, and weld with electric and gas equipment.
  • Performs routine calibrations for portable meters. This includes, but is not limited to, dissolved oxygen, pH, H2S, percent oxygen the lower limit of explosive.
  • Performs repairs and maintenance on the facility and can replace or repair damaged windows, glass doors, partitions, floor or ceiling tiles, carpet, door locks, or paint.
  • Performs manual labor, such as cleaning facilities, equipment, and grounds when required, and disposes of waste in line with the environmental and safety guidelines. Uses vehicles for plant operation reasons.
  • Helps maintain parts, spares, and maintenance inventory.
  • Could help in other areas of the plant as instructed.
  • Help with the orientation or training of less experienced maintenance personnel.
