Hitachi Construction Machinery

Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas expands its ZAXIS-7 lineup of medium and large excavators with the introduction of the ZX250LC-7, ZX300LC-7, ZX350LC-7, ZX490LC-7, ZX690LC-7, and ZX890LC-7 models. Ranging in operating weight from 58,433 to 192,938 pounds (26,500 kg to 87,500 kg), these excavators boast upgraded features aimed at improving operator comfort, visibility, fuel efficiency, durability, and productivity.
The ZAXIS-7 cab has been enlarged to offer a more spacious interior with reduced vibration and noise levels, thereby enhancing the overall operating experience while minimizing operator fatigue. Notable enhancements include increased head clearance and legroom, along with a one-touch adjustable air suspension seat synchronized with the console for simplified adjustments. The console layout is ergonomically designed, featuring intuitive controls for operator convenience and improved visibility on the right side of the cab.
Efforts to reduce noise include the incorporation of thicker rear glass, as well as the addition of a seal between the cab and floor plate, which enhances cab airtightness to prevent dust ingress, even during the operation of the air conditioner. Furthermore, the implementation of four fluid-filled elastic cab mounts serves to mitigate vibrations while traveling, contributing to a smoother and more comfortable ride.
