In traditional drive systems, torque transfer from the hydraulic motor to the cardan shaft typically necessitates using a dropbox. To enhance the efficiency of the drive train, Linde Hydraulics has developed the PTO Through-Drive Motor. This innovation, derived from the standard hydraulic motor of the Series 02 but equipped with dual shaft ends instead of one, allows for direct integration into the drive train without the need for a dropbox. Consequently, machine designers can seamlessly incorporate the hydraulic motor, saving valuable mounting space.
Eliminating the dropbox commonly found in conventional propulsion drives not only reduces noise emissions and manufacturing costs but also enhances overall efficiency. Like all Linde motors, the PTO Through-Drive Motor delivers the required torque even at low speeds, facilitating smooth and responsive starts without the need for additional gear ratios for RPM reduction. This streamlined design not only minimizes the number of components required but also enhances overall mechanical efficiency, reducing windage losses and noise levels in the machine. Furthermore, the HMV-02D double axial piston hydraulic motor, featuring a shaft flange, is also PTO-capable, providing additional flexibility in drive system configurations.
