Heavy equipment diesel technician

Yancey is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy equipment diesel technician to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Examine, diagnose, find, and correct mechanical issues on diesel engines of heavy equipment and their components.
• Repair or replace all parts of heavy and light frame assemblies, suspension systems, drive trains, electric systems such as steering, braking, material handling, and comfort systems.
• Find out the scope of repairs needed, such as identifying major maintenance needs for the engine and transmission, and make orders for needed services.
• Tune up engines; identify the computer's controls and modules, and air conditioning components with diagnostic equipment.
• Perform brazing and welding, fabricate and modify components and equipment, as well as miscellaneous structures and attachments.
• Make sure that all documents are completed (work orders or parts orders, inspections, warranties, support comments, time sheets, and work orders) in a clear, time-bound, accurate timeframe.
• All work must be done in accordance with the established time standards, safety, and quality processes.
• Take part in the required safety programs and perform your work in a safe way.
• Additional duties as directed by the manager.
