Interstate Waste Services is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator- (Gondola Excavator) to join their dynamic team. Additional Duties: Operator of Heavy Equipment
Use a variety of small machinery to operate heavy machinery, such as bucket loaders and excavators (yellow iron equipment).
Set up and check equipment on a regular basis before using it.
Understand the limitations and capabilities of machines
When using machines to carry out work tasks in accordance with safety regulations, pay attention to hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings.
Get instruction on material movement, both orally and in writing.
Transport materials within the facility and over short distances.
Reduce traffic congestion and maintain an efficient flow by loading transfer trailers to the desired load weight.
Construct and maintain ramps or inclines
Fix equipment and swap out parts as necessary.
