Lead Engineer - Hydraulic & Lubrication

Accountabilities

• Assist with root cause analysis on failures
  Improve preventative actions for known failure modes on new designs
• Promote a quality culture for the module by training engineers in Six Sigma and mentoring quality improvements projects
• Reduce the cost of perceived quality
• Continually maintain the knowledge base and set up a system to share learnings or best practices
• Search for safety data from the value chain and drive solutions and implementations
• Manage alarms and warranty cases especially for downloading and assessing false alarm issues
• Investigate field reported turbine failures through working with site techs and design engineers
• Complete root cause analysis, and understand impacts on fleet
• Engage and coordinate with all stakeholders impacted by design failures – module owners, service, construction and legal
• Identify short and long-term activities to reduce the effects of failures
