Liebherr, a leading manufacturer of construction machinery and other high-quality products, is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The company, founded in 1949 by Hans Liebherr, has grown into a global conglomerate with over 150 companies across all continents and more than 50,000 employees. To commemorate this milestone, Liebherr held a grand event known as Customer Days 2024 at its new Berg repair center near the Ehingen factory. This event attracted over 3,500 customers and members of the construction press from around the world, as well as Liebherr employees and their families.
During the Customer Days, Liebherr showcased several of its latest innovations, including the new six-axle LTM 1400-6.1 mobile crane, touted as the most powerful in its class. The event also featured the LR12500-1.0 lattice boom crawler crane, a behemoth with a 2,500-tonne capacity, and various interactive exhibits where attendees could experience the latest in crane technology and teleoperation systems. Highlights included test drives of the new electric drive LTC 1050-3.1E and demonstrations of the upgraded Crane Finder tool, now available as a mobile app.
Additionally, Liebherr marked the production of its 100,000th machine, reflecting its long-standing commitment to innovation and quality in engineering. The company's emphasis on advanced technology, such as the introduction of the PR 776 Generation 8 crawler dozer with Operator Assistance Systems (OAS), underscores its dedication to enhancing efficiency and safety in the construction and mining industries
