Efficiently removing numerous stumps, the Vermeer SC1052 Stump Cutter is adept at grinding large stumps with minimal repositioning. Powered by a robust 115-horsepower (85.8-kW) Origin 6.2L gas engine equipped with an 18.1-gallon (68.5-L) fuel tank, this model boasts the exclusive Vermeer cutting system (VCS) and SmartSweep™ control system, positioning it as the largest cutter in the Vermeer product lineup.

Capable of cutting up to 31 inches (78.4 cm) above ground and 25 inches (63.5 cm) below the surface, with a straight-line cutting width of 72 inches (182.9 cm), the SC1052 can remove a 6-foot (1.8-m) stump without the need for repositioning. The innovative VCS addresses common challenges associated with traditional cutting systems, utilizing a mounting and retention structure instead of bolts to secure teeth to the cutter wheel. This design prevents teeth from shifting in the pocket and absorbs shearing forces during operation. Furthermore, the Vermeer SC1052 is equipped with two-sided carbide V-profile cutter teeth, enhancing the cutting performance of the stump cutter. These teeth can be flipped to the other side of the cutter wheel, extending their wear life for prolonged efficiency.
