These oil coolers are of the Plate and Fin type, functioning as heat exchangers that utilize ambient air to cool various fluids such as oil, thermic fluid, and coolant. In this process, heat exchange occurs between the hot fluid and the surrounding cool ambient air. Internally, on the oil side, there are fins or tabulators situated between two plates, while externally, on the air side, fins are positioned between two plates. The heat from the fluid is absorbed by the internal fins or tabulators and is then transferred to the plates. Subsequently, the plates convey the heat to the external fins. The cooling process is enhanced by the fan-driven cool ambient air, which removes heat from the external fins. The internal and external fins not only increase the surface area but also induce turbulence in the two fluids, contributing to improved cooling effectiveness.
          Oil flow capacity ranges from 1 to 20 LPM, and the cooling capability extends up to 1085 Kcal/h (1.3 kW). These hydraulic oil cooler radiators, functioning as air-cooled heat exchangers, find optimal use in small hydraulic power packs, gearboxes, die/mold cooling, and drain line cooling for high-pressure Variable Displacement pumps. They are well-suited for applications with a consistent oil flow of up to 20 LPM (maximum pressure of 10 bar). The AW 0608, with its plate-fin design, can effectively handle minor pulsations or variations in the flow.
