  • Studying maintenance schedules, estimating worker hours for completion of the job assignments, assigning maintenance duties accordingly, and monitoring the activities completion in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Providing technical consultation to engineers and technicians in cases of non-routine malfunctions in the simulators and whenever needed; in addition to directing the maintenance troubleshooting support activities in the cases of non-routine problems.
  • Ensuring the proper and clear documentation of maintenance records and technical logs            
  • Administering simulator checks and testing prior to recurrent certification checks to ensure the proper functioning of the simulators and the satisfaction of the licensing standards
  • Follow-up contacting the aviation authorities on simulators licensing and recurrent certification by EASA  
  • Ensuring the availability of sufficient spare parts in the simulator stores to avoid any shortage 
  • Following up on the items sent for repair abroad and on the purchasing orders of simulators spare parts including the identification of specification requirements, quantity, delivery time and cost 
  • Administering the process of developing and upgrading the simulators’ software and hardware and the introduction of any new modifications to the simulators’ systems      
  • Auditing technical logs filled by instructors and communicating with Accounts and Finance Unit with regards to the invoices follow up
  • Comply with Environmental Health & Safety standards, instructions, and safe working procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate most maintenance tasks, regularly review and update all issues for planning purposes, generate reports for review during technical meetings, ensure that the training devices are ready for EASA recurrent evaluations, make sure that all maintenance records are up-to-date
  • Participate in regular technical meetings, EASA evaluation debriefs meetings, internal/external audits. Work with Customer Service to follow-up on business-critical issues.
  • Participate in the yearly performance evaluation of the team and individuals. Generation of the employee development plan. Mentor and share knowledge with fellow engineers and technicians in order to develop their skill sets. Develop technical workshops and provide on the job training to engineers and technicians.
  • Conducting weekly meetings with subordinates to follow up smooth running of activities and keeping abreast with latest findings and actioning them
