Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Read, understand, and interpret schematics, P&IDs, sketches, and written instructions to assemble parts or products as well as operations of equipment.
Assembles, tests, and operations of subsea production control system, drilling control HPUs, IWOCS, LARS Operations, Test HPUs, Chemical Injection Units, and subsea distribution hardware according to company, customer, and industry specifications.
Ensures that safety is of the utmost priority when operating, assembling, and testing equipment.
Participates in Deepsea Technologies Safety and Quality observation programs.
Ensure that quality processes and procedures are followed.
Performs maintenance and operations of rental equipment both onshore and offshore.
Performs fluid analysis on various types of control fluids and/or chemicals.
Troubleshoots problems, and identifies and communicates design discrepancies. Identifies and suggests design improvements.
Completes required documentation, including but not limited to daily progress reports, service tickets, test reports, failed test reports, and Non-Conformance Reports.
Liaise with clients as required during operation, service, manufacturing process, testing, and trials.
Prepares test procedures and operations/maintenance manuals in accordance with customer and industry standards and specifications.
Domestic and international travel is required.
Must have a valid passport.
Requirements

Education and Experience:

5+ years experience in hydraulic topside and subsea control systems
Minimum of 2 years in a service technician role offshore.
High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational electrical training or related experience.
Mid-level of expertise in the assembly and testing of Hydraulic Power and Control units, subsea distribution equipment, and drilling control systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & BOMs, P&IDs; wiring diagrams and all written engineering procedures;
Offshore safety and certification required.
Ability to use a computer and Windows Office software

Physical Demands:

Physical requirements are those typically found in an office, manufacturing shop, and offshore environment.
Must be able to pass an Offshore fit-for-duty physical

Personal Protective Equipment:

Safety glasses and other PPE as required to work in a manufacturing and offshore environment.
Additional PPE may be required at certain offshore and international locations

Location and Work Environment:

This position is based in Houston – Texas – USA
Offshore work locations are global.
