Job Description

Reporting to the Sector Manager, the Reliability and Maintenance Coordinator (RMC) plays a central role in optimizing operational performance and equipment reliability. Responsible for coordinating and planning maintenance activities, the RMC ensures that interventions are strategically aligned with production goals and best practices.

By leveraging rigorous performance indicator (KPI) analyses and meticulous planning, the RMC implements initiatives to prevent breakdowns, improve equipment durability, and reduce downtime. Their expertise in reliability allows them to identify improvement opportunities, propose concrete solutions, and collaborate with technical and production teams to maximize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan maintenance tasks for work shifts.
  • Approve, prioritize, and verify work order requests, including required parts.
  • Audit and analyze maintenance plans and programs.
  • Coach supervisors in work order scheduling to maximize maintenance plan execution.
  • Develop and maintain equipment management processes.
  • Forecast part inventories and approve requests for new inventory items.
  • Analyze failure data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Use root cause analysis (RCA) tools to investigate breakdowns.
  • Analyze maintenance performance indicators, share observations, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify and implement new technologies that contribute to the reliability of facilities.
  • Support the production team by applying escalation protocols during major breakdowns.
  • Seek technical assistance from equipment suppliers and coordinate required actions.
  • Participate in the onboarding process for new electromechanics and act as a resource during their integration.
  • Develop training plans and ensure the transfer of knowledge among technicians.
  • Collaborate with other divisions and sectors of the company to integrate reliability into operations.
  • Participate in the lockout and occupational health and safety (OHS) procedures.
  • Establish and maintain processes and 5S systems for the factory's shared spaces.
  • Main Responsibilities
  • College diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering, vocational diploma (DEP) in Electromechanics of
  • Automated Systems, engineering training, or any other relevant education.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in preventive maintenance and control tools.
  • Experience in supervision.
  • Experience in the agri-food sector (an asset).
  • C License (an asset).
  • Proficiency in welding, hydraulics, electrical systems, pneumatics, and instrumentation and control.
  • Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).
