Liebherr Container Cranes has supplied a semi-automated ship-to-shore container crane

The crane is equipped with extensive automation capabilities and utilizes Liebherr's Remote Operator Station (ROS) for efficient cargo handling over the vessel and for handling exceptional situations. The ROS enables operators to maintain the same level of crane control as if they were on board, all from the convenience of an office-based environment.

This semi-automated crane represents a groundbreaking addition for Patrick Terminals, marking one of the initial instances of Liebherr's cabinless ship-to-shore container cranes being deployed globally. It underscores Liebherr's unwavering dedication to advancing technology within the port equipment sector. Liebherr has previously supplied fully automated and cabinless rail-mounted gantry (RMG) cranes, and they have numerous automated ship-to-shore (STS) and rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes on order. Many of these cranes are slated to become operational in the upcoming months, reaffirming Liebherr's leadership in delivering secure and efficient automated solutions.
