Hyster unveils its forklift stability control system

The Hyster A Series, recently launched, now comes standard with a comprehensive forklift stability control system. This system employs maintenance-free DSS sensors that continuously monitor various forklift performance metrics, including lift height, hydraulic load, mast tilt, truck speed, and steering angle. Whenever the system detects that the forklift exceeds predefined stability thresholds, it immediately takes corrective actions to ensure stable travel. This includes the activation of four distinct subsystems designed to facilitate smooth deceleration when navigating corners and turns, as well as to restrict truck speed, tilt speed, and tilt range when handling elevated loads.

Importantly, the operator retains control of the equipment, receiving feedback on performance reduction, visual indicators, and audible alerts, all aimed at reinforcing the best practices learned during their training. For added monitoring and insight, integration with Hyster Tracker telemetry monitoring is also an option, enabling supervisors to gain real-time visibility into operator performance whenever a DSS function is triggered.
