Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Primarily Direct Account segment of the Application Engineering Team by establishing yearly goals and conducting monthly meetings with each application engineer.
  • Foster the professional development of application engineers through career progression initiatives.
  • Manage the workload capacity of assigned application engineers.
  • Provide direct application support to a specific number of designated accounts and proprietary products.
  • Offer elevated technical support to Applications Engineers under supervision.
  • Furnish Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Standard Improvement Plan (SIP) data on Direct Accounts to the Application regional manager.
  • Provide counsel and guidance to Application Engineers and the Sales team for direct accounts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in specific disciplines and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Coordinate communication with customers, Sales Managers, and Engineers to resolve escalated issues.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Hold a minimum of ten (10) years of Application Engineering experience within the hydraulics industry.
  • Have at least 2 years of management experience.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the design and functionality of hydraulic cartridge valves, integrated valve circuits, and associated hydraulic/electronic systems.
  • Exhibit detailed knowledge of various engineering disciplines.
  • Showcase advanced data analysis skills and proficiency in reporting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building and maintenance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working well under pressure and multitasking as needed.
  • Effective communication with individuals at all levels and diverse backgrounds.
