During the most significant mining trade event, MINExpo, in Las Vegas, USA, Liebherr and Fortescue, a global green technology, energy, and metals firm, signed an agreement for an extended partnership. 
One of the first zero emission mine haulage solutions in use worldwide is the T 264 battery-electric truck, which is a pioneer in the mining sector and is powered by a Fortescue Zero battery power system.
A total of 475 zero emission Liebherr machines will be utilized in Fortescue's mines in Australia as part of the agreement, which also includes jointly developed technology that opens the path for decarbonized mining. 

This collaboration demonstrates Liebherr's dedication to advancing the decarbonization and automation of large machinery.

The agreement to supply 475 Liebherr equipment and jointly develop autonomous and zero emission solutions was signed at the MINExpo show in Las Vegas, USA, in September. In the 75-year history of The Liebherr Group, the agreement between Fortescue and Liebherr represents the greatest order volume. Fortescue will utilize the approximately €2.5 billion order, which includes 60 battery-powered dozers, 55 electric excavators, and 360 battery-powered and autonomous mining vehicles, at its Australian mines.
