Trelleborg Port in Sweden welcomes a Konecranes reach stacker to bolster its capacity for increasing intermodal traffic

The intermodal terminal located on the southern coast of Sweden at the Port of Trelleborg has recently acquired a Konecranes reach stacker designed for trailer and container handling. This modern lift truck has been brought in as a replacement for an older unit that had reached the end of its operational lifespan.

Trelleborg Port ranks as the second busiest among Sweden's five core ports in terms of throughput tonnage. Moreover, it holds the distinction of being the largest railway port along the Baltic Sea and stands out as the most environmentally sustainable port in the entire region. To ensure efficient intermodal services between vessels and railways, the port relies on a fleet of two intermodal reach stackers, including the newly acquired Konecranes model.
