As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll have the chance to apply Lean methodologies in a manufacturing setting to drive enhancements in revenue, quality, and cost savings. This role involves evaluating manufacturing processes to minimize waste, enhance product quality, reduce lead times, and cut costs. Additionally, you'll coordinate team activities and oversee 16 dealers to advance The Manitowoc Way annually. Proficiency in Lean principles like 5S, VSM, Cell Design, Standard Work, SMED, TPM, DFMA, Kanban, and quality tools is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support TMW Training to uphold the company's Lean objectives.
  • Participate in The Manitowoc Way, addressing gaps in assessments and meeting annual audit goals.
  • Stay updated on Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous improvement methodologies and lead training sessions for cross-functional teams.
  • Led cross-functional teams in developing and executing detailed plans, including time, budget, resource management, and tracking KPIs.
  • Drive cost reduction, process improvement, and quality enhancements.
  • Evaluate process layouts for continuous improvement.
  • Lead 5S, Kaizen, and other lean initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop new process documentation.
  • Supervise assigned resources, including internal and external contractors.

Job Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least five years' experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering; other technical degrees with equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Exposure to large equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD, TEAMS, and basic Microsoft Office tools, including Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and inventory control software.
  • Desired experience in time studies, time standard implementation, project cost analysis, and lean tools.
  • Project management experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, a robust work ethic, and a track record of project execution.
  • Working Conditions: A minimum of 50% of time spent on the shop floor; minimal travel required.
