Summary:

The Operator has a physically demanding and labor-intensive job. The work involves lifting, pulling, and operating heavy equipment and machinery. The Operator will be required to work in all kinds of weather and needs to be prepared for extreme heat and cold. The Operator needs to ensure that all activities are accomplished safely and efficiently. The Operator shall deal with other NABHOLZ personnel, subcontractors, customers, and members of the public respectfully and courteously.  The Operator shall possess effective communication skills and an excellent safety record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drives heavy construction and transportation equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, cranes, and asphalt equipment.
  • Operating a large range of heavy-duty, self-propelled construction equipment for projects such as building construction, roadway construction, pier construction, grading and excavation, digging around utility & installing utilities, sewer lines, water lines, storm drains, and electrical conduits.
  • Performing minor equipment maintenance to provide safe and efficient operation.
  • Preparing operational reports on equipment.
  • Operating rock crushing and well-drilling equipment.
