Augers A11

Cat® Augers are utilized for drilling holes in construction, agricultural, and landscaping scenarios, catering to a range of applications such as footings, fencing, sign posts, trees, and shrubs. The augers incorporate three distinct drive systems, each meticulously engineered to deliver the optimal balance of speed and torque across diverse soil types. The A23 model boasts a variable speed, bi-directional, gerotor-style hydraulic motor, generating an ideal bit speed and output torque suitable for light to moderate-duty tasks. Meanwhile, the A41 features a variable speed, bi-directional, single reduction planetary drive gerotor-style hydraulic motor, mounted to a planetary gearbox, designed to deliver optimal bit speed and output torque for moderate to heavy-duty applications. The A68 model incorporates a variable speed, bi-directional, double reduction planetary drive hydraulic gear motor mounted to a planetary gearbox, tailored for moderate to heavy-duty, high-performance drilling needs.
These augers are equipped with robust bits that can adapt to various projects, offering standard bits, tree bits, industrial bits, and standard rock drill head bits (bolt-on) to address a wide array of applications and ground conditions. To enhance versatility, different extensions are available to dig deeper and accommodate round or hex shaft bit designs. The retention pin minimizes the time required for auger flight changes, while the articulated joint ensures that the auger hangs straight, independent of machine positioning. Additionally, mechanical swing stops are in place to safeguard against auger over-swing.
