High performance meets electrification.

This supports Komatsu's sustainability agenda with the electric drive being able to lower carbon emissions by as much as 95% in scope 1 emission levels when compared to its diesel equivalent. Alongside Komatsu's power-agnostic technology, a more sustainable mine operation can be achieved by the customer. Advantages of electrically driven hydraulic mining excavators are lower operating expenses, removal of Diesel fuel, considerably lower cost of parts and maintenance and lubrication and overall cost savings of as much as 50% versus traditional Tier 4 diesel drives.*

The completely automatic cable drum is intended for optimal operation of the electrically powered excavator. The automatic winding of the cable improves safety and ease of maneuvering in the pit. Easy control of the electric machine facilitates quick troubleshooting and maintenance of the electrical system, leading to higher overall availability of the machine.
