Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy of inventory records by actively participating in cycle counting and inventory auditing processes.
  • Organize designated areas for efficient and timely material handling.
  • Verify the accuracy of material received by examining the contents of inbound shipments against vendor documentation and internal purchase orders.
  • Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations on inventory layout and management practices to maximize inventory and maintain optimal accuracy.
  • Collaborate with management to coordinate tasks and allocate resources for scheduled inventory control activities.
  • Follow inventory management procedures, including record-keeping, adherence to work instructions, and other standard operational practices.
  • Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely to move parts to proper locations and load/unload trucks as needed.
  • Oversee the receipt of purchased goods, verify counts and quality, and complete transactions in the ERP system according to established procedures.
  • Visually monitor inventory levels and communicate low/high levels to relevant parties.
  • Conduct cycle counts based on established guidelines and assist in developing corrective actions for inventory issues.
  • Complete inventory transactions, including receiving, assigning locations, and issuing inventory as required.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by timely and effective communication with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Continuously expand lean knowledge and use tools to identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Be available for overtime shifts when necessary, including at month-end.
  • Keep assigned areas in a clean and organized condition daily.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Forklift driver with a mandatory forklift license.
  • Previous experience in leading, coordinating the work of others, or providing functional direction is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation with a commitment to responding on time.
  • Proficiency in maintaining inventory records and conducting cycle counting.
  • Analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform audits.
  • Problem-solving ability, especially in handling sensitive situations that require immediate attention.
  • PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
