Crane Operator Hydraulic and Friction

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of assigned equipment and good industry practices by.
• Move levers, foot pedals, or turn dials to control cranes, cherry pickers, electromagnets, or other mobile equipment for lifting, moving, or setting loads.
• Cleaned, lubricated, and maintained mechanisms like cables, pulleys, or grappling devices, repairing them as needed.
• Check cables or grappling equipment for wear and install or replace cables as appropriate.
• Check ground conditions and set up accurately.
• Operate cables, chains, shackles, and other equipment.
• Know when to use soft slings, chains, and wire ropes.
• Supervise helpers involved in placing blocking or outrigging under cranes.
• Climb and work at heights of up to 100 feet.
• Establish load weights and compare with lifting capacities to avoid overload.
