Equipment Operator

Position Description

At the Anoka County Highway Department, it is our goal to enrich and safeguard life by making roads safe and eradicating traffic congestion. The department presently has an opening for an Equipment Operator who will carry out assorted tasks. Some of the essential duties of this job consist of performing year-round and seasonal maintenance and repairs on roads such as plowing and sanding, snow removal, patching, tree trimming and cutting down, paving, patching, shouldering, maintenance of sidewalks, repairing and ditch cleaning to keep culverts, catch basins, cross pipes, and storm sewers clear and maintained and in working order to provide road safety.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site job. Interviews will take place as applications are received for individuals moving on to the next step of the hiring process.
