Maintenance Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY

The Mechanic I performs repairs and maintenance of equipment and machinery (e.g.- conveyors system, motors, pumps, production machinery). This worker is responsible for reporting food safety hazards or issues to their direct supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains and repairs plant equipment
• Maintains and repairs power support systems
• Maintains and repairs hydraulic systems and equipment
• Keeps lubrication of all equipment machinery
• Troubleshoots and makes electrical repairs and wiring
• Understands and adheres to manufacturer's instructions for equipment operations and repairs
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, and machine shop equipment
• Inspected finished products for defects and codes
• Works scheduled shift and overtime as needed
• Completes assigned weekly preventative maintenance and scheduled work orders
• Maintain daily shift call log
• Creates and closes SAP work orders
• Performs other duties as assigned
