PALFINGER Introduces Innovative Lifting Technology for Live Fish Carriers

The live fish carriers Inter Scotia and Inter Atlantic, constructed in Spain and currently operational in Scottish waters, have been equipped with cutting-edge lifting solutions by PALFINGER MARINE. The incorporation of PALFINGER's advanced technology includes the PALFINGER Central Remote Control system, enhancing operational efficiency and safety in daily fish-farming activities.
The PALFINGER marine cranes stand out for their low weight and reduced complexity, contributing to exceptional maintenance friendliness. These cranes are specifically designed to endure challenging conditions encountered in daily sea operations. While foldable knuckle boom cranes serve various lifting purposes in aquaculture-related vessels such as service boats, workboats, and catamarans, telescopic boom cranes are predominantly utilized for hose handling on live fish carriers and similar vessels.
PALFINGER's commitment to customer service is evident through its efficient support network, with local service centers strategically positioned in prominent fish farming regions worldwide. These include Canada, Norway, the UK, Chile, Croatia, Tasmania, the Faroe Islands, and more. A dedicated team of highly skilled service engineers, along with reliable, long-term service partners, ensures comprehensive support throughout the product life cycle. Notably, all PTM cranes installed on these vessels are equipped with the PALFINGER Central Remote Control. This feature empowers operators to independently control each crane using two joysticks from the bridge. Furthermore, operators have the flexibility to switch to remote control operation from the deck.
