Brief Description

You will be performing troubleshooting, repair work, and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery, CNC Lathes and Mills, equipment, and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels. This involves working on equipment that includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and fluid handling systems.

Key Accountabilities

Perform troubleshooting, repair work, and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery (including CNC Lathes and Mills), equipment, and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels
Document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes
Complete documentation process for machinery usage, and equipment maintenance. Maintain cleanliness of maintenance equipment shop.
Maintain familiarity with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and processes, and relationships with appropriate equipment vendors and suppliers
Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule within the hours of 4 AM and 9 PM.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; and establishing personal networks.
Desirable Experience, Capabilities, and Success Factors

High School Diploma/GED required; Trade or technical certification preferred.
Must have 8+ years of preventative maintenance experience.
Must have working technical knowledge including hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical repair and PLC.
Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
Must be able to coordinate multiple job effectively and handle detailed and broad range projects while meeting deadlines.
Must have experience with software interface tools for Allen Bradley or GE Fanuc, PLCs, and Windows-based software preferred.
You will need to have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision required.
Must be able to physically complete required tasks including standing for extended periods of time, stooping, bending, climbing ladders/stairs, working on roofs, and occasionally lifting and/or moving 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
Must be able to locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Must be able to remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; and examining the form and texture of parts.
Must be able to adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Must be able to fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Must be able to maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; and anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
