As a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain trucks, trailers, and skids (wireline specific equipment) by Manufacturer, government, and Baker Hughes specifications.
  • Conduct equipment inspections by Manufacturer, government, and Baker Hughes specifications.
  • Perform weld repairs and minor fabrication
  • Hydraulic systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
  • PTO systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair on 12v lighting systems and electric brakes on vehicles and 26ft to 36 ft pull behind and gooseneck trailers
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 5k-10k grease injection equipment
  • Hydraulic systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Advanced ability to find solutions to complex mechanical and technical problems
  • Knowledge of hydraulic circuits and systems with the ability to troubleshoot system performance and malfunctions
  • Proficient in the use of precision tools, multimeters, gauges, and computer-based electronic service tools for diagnostics and repairs of vehicle and wireline-specific systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists

To be successful in this role you will:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification, or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment
  • 5 to 7 years of maintenance-related experience working on trucks and heavy equipment
  • Class 1 /Class 3 License with air brake endorsement and clean driving record, or able to obtain within 6 months
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing 120 v single-phase generator systems
  • Previous experience with hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
  • CVIP inspection authority experience or ability to obtain certification
  • Able to prioritize tasks and complete them unsupervised promptly.
  • Must have own tools, shop will purchase specialized equipment
  • Work in a way that works for you
  • This position works Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm, overtime as needed
