Heavy Equipment Operator

The primary duties of the successful candidate will be the operation of Landfill and Recycling equipment, which includes, loaders, dozers, excavators, blades, compactor, roll-off trucks, forklifts, and bailers at the Summit County Resource Allocation Park. Additional duties will include hauling recycled materials from the drop-off centers, maintaining and cleaning drop-off centers, as well as sorting recyclables at the (SCRAP) facility.  Also performs other manual tasks as needed. The chosen candidate will perform other manual tasks as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; vocational school desirable. Experience as a heavy equipment operator or a combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job are a plus. Minimum of 1 year operating similar heavy equipment. The ability to obtain a Colorado Commercial Vehicle Driver License (CDL) within 6-months of hiring.
