Hydraulics – Training and Course Overview

The hydraulics course has been designed for every aspirant ardent to gain in-depth knowledge about the subject. The training course has been designed for students to hone their knowledge with absolute ease, for the much-needed expertise in the industry. The course material involves management, maintenance, and understanding the design of fluid power system. The hydraulics course also covers industrial and mobile application in a specially-designed laboratory for the subject. Course Objective The hydraulics course aims to equip its students with perfect understanding of the fundamentals that determine the working of all hydraulic systems. On completion of the course, students will be able to read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagrams, know the operation and function of critical system components, have absolute clarity about contamination management, and be well versed with the safety practices involved when working with hydraulic systems. Eligibility The candidate must have prior knowledge of hydraulics. Based on the current experience, ability, and knowledge the applicant will be granted admission. Those from engineering backgrounds will be preferred. Course Duration The duration of the course will largely depend on the subjects chosen by the student, the intensity of the course material, time taken for completing dissertation, and the type of course opted for. Course Syllabus The course comprehensively teaches basic hydraulic principles, with an emphasis on its fundamentals of pressure and flow. The hydraulics’ course also includes symbols and notations; lessons on types of hydraulic pumps and their operations; hydraulic oils and their contamination control; introduction to accumulators and proportional control; and practical lessons circuit construction using cylinders, motors and setting up components. It also teaches students the pressure, flow and direction under which control valves function and operate. Most importantly, this course includes safety exercises, which cannot be overlooked while working with hydraulics in real-life scenarios. The students will be assessed on the basis of their project work, assignments, class work, and laboratory work. Career Prospects A student with a degree in hydraulics has a plethora of career opportunities to choose from. With options such as being a design engineer for hydraulics, senior hydraulics engineer, quality control engineer, operation technologist, and process safety engineer, treading the path of success seems a step closer. In addition to these career opportunities, fields of teaching and training also open up for students.
