New Train Station Emerges Thanks to Liebherr Tower Cranes in the Grand Paris Express Project

The focal point of the recently completed Noisy-Champs train station is an impressive 25-meter-tall spiral-shaped dome, a structural masterpiece. This architectural marvel, along with the entire station building, owes much of its construction to the invaluable contribution of two Liebherr 1000 EC-H 40-electronic tower cranes. Situated within the extensive Grand Paris Express project, this new station is set to become a pivotal junction for metro lines in the southeastern region of Paris. The Grand Paris Express initiative encompasses a total of 13 construction sites, all benefitting from the involvement of Liebherr machinery, with the overarching goal of enhancing connectivity between the heart of Paris and its neighboring regions.

The weight range of the components varied, with the heaviest weighing 35 tonnes and the lightest at 15 tonnes. These challenges posed no obstacle for the two 1000 EC-H 40 Liebherr tower cranes in operation. These high-capacity cranes were deployed for various tasks, including structural work on the station building and roof-related operations. The impressive lifting capacities of these cranes, coupled with exceptional customer service and the quick availability of spare parts, made a compelling case for the site operators to entrust Liebherr tower cranes for their needs on this specific Grand Paris construction site.
