340F demolition excavator

THE new Cat 340F UHD (ultra high demolition) hydraulic excavator has a vertical pin height of up to 22m and is capable of handling loads up to 3.6 tonnes at a 15m horizontal reach.     Machine operating weight range from 44,100-50,400kg, depending on front and undercarriage configuration, and a new boom coupling system allows the excavator to be quickly configured. A range of available work tools ensures optimum versatility and jobsite efficiency, while the operator environment is designed for optimum safety and comfort.  The 340F UHD main structures, including the upper and lower mainframes, booms, sticks and track-roller frames, have been purpose-built for long-term durability in demolition applications. Undercarriage components (chains, rollers, idlers, and track shoes) are made of high-strength steel and grease-lubricated chains help prolong pin and bushing life, eliminating the intrusion of dirt and debris and reducing travel noise in the process.      The long undercarriage is available in both fixed gauge (2,590mm) and variable gauge (2,390-2,820mm) configurations. Using the boom coupling system, the operator can easily install and remove high reach or short front components. A short boom nose can be positioned in either a bent or straight position
