PALFINGER is searching for an Entry-Level Assembly Technician to work as part of our production assembly team. The primary function is to produce a high-quality finished product by assembling components and sub-assemblies on different crane product lines. We are located in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities:

•    Assembly of knuckle boom cranes and sub-assemblies.
•    Build products and sub-assemblies to quality specifications in the timeline provided by the schedule.
•    Adhere to work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
•    Maintain a safe and clean workstation.
•    Install electrical components.
•    Torquing equipment to p-norms.
•    Assist in ways to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
•    Diagnose and repair issues if they occur and report to Management.
•    Understand the value that quality plays in the overall success of the company, and help in increasing the quality of our products for the appearance and safety of our customers.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

•    High School Diploma required.
•    Technical training and education in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulics would be an asset.
•    0-3 years experience in a related field preferred.
•    Must speak, read, and write English.
•    Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment.
•    Good attention to detail.
•    Proven commitment to following Safety Policies.
•    Basic understanding of computers and math skills.
•    Basic experience using hand tools and mechanical equipment.
•    Knowledge of set and use of torque wrench.
•    Excellent eye/hand coordination.
•    Must be able to sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift 50lbs.
•    Ability to multi-task and learn quickly with minimal supervision.
