Caterpillar motive is to provide best customer service. Caterpillar is introducing newer technologies and products every time and has customers from around the world. To provide parts and products on time Caterpillar has made its largest investment setting up a plant in Gauteng in Johannesburg. The 60 000 m2 facility consolidates two smaller parts distribution sites – Linbro Park and Isando. This plant is having 110000 different parts and serving approx 11 countries.
Caterpillar is planning to invest US$ 1 Billion more in Africa in upcoming years.The center will be providing free online training programmes for technicians
