About the role

We’re on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Crane Technician to join our team. You’ll play a critical role in keeping our cranes operating safely and efficiently across the Whyalla Steelworks and Mining businesses.

Your day-to-day:

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, jib cranes, and lifting gear
Respond to emergency repair needs quickly and safely
Complete inspection checklists, document defects, and recommend fixes
Collaborate with planning teams for scheduling maintenance
Assist in safety, investigations, and ongoing improvement programs
