Driver - Crane/Boom Operator

Position Summary

Responsible for transporting a variety of cargo on a Class 3 Straight Truck with a drywall crane while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and securing loads properly. Your role includes conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, managing delivery schedules, and operating the vehicle safely on various routes.

Location: Halifax, NS

Schedule: Day Shift,  Monday to Friday - 7:00 am start time

What you will do

• Operating a Class 3 Straight truck with a drywall crane 
• Making deliveries in a safe and timely manner in the Greater Halifax Area 
• Load securement of building products
• Constant communication with the customer
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement, and report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.

What You’ll Bring

• 2 years of commercial driving experience
• Less than High School, but has basic reading, communication, and arithmetic skills to follow directions.
• Valid Class 3 license is required, Class 1 license is an asset
• Moffett's experience is an asset
• Must have Crane certification is required
