About the Role: 

A permanent opportunity for an experienced Empty Container Handler Operator (Forklift) to join our team at the Container Park in Altona North on AM Shift (6 am to 2.30 pm).

The role and responsibilities will include:

• Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure the safe operation of the forklift and that containers are stacked correctly, safely, and in the correct location
• Keep the forklift in a clean and tidy condition
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner
• Complete Pre-operational forklift check procedures at the start of each shift. Includes all checks of tires, fluids, and operating elements. 
• Responsible for ensuring implementation of, and compliance with, all relevant depot policies and procedures, in particular those relating to OH&S

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Current Forklift Licence
• Experience in container park operations preferred
• Any exposure or experience in handling/moving shipping containers would be highly desirable
• Strong safety conscious
• A team player with good communication skills
• A positive can-do attitude
