A new electro-hydraulic control system, SmartWell® Turing®, has been released by Halliburton under its SmartWell intelligent completions portfolio to improve reservoir management for any completion style. 


The Turing system provides rapid zonal optimization via integrated position sensors, allowing the operator to make quick adjustments to the well's performance. 

The Turing system accommodates up to 12 zones, utilizing three control lines (two hydraulic lines and one single-wire tubing-encapsulated conductor), which not only improves infrastructure efficiency, but allows for reduced subsea developments costs too. 

When coupled with the Clariti® digital suite and DataSphere® environmental monitor, Turing provided timely and real-time data to improve production and optimize the field.
