Heavy Equipment Technician

Position Requirements

Applicants who are successful for a Class 2 Mechanic position at our Shop must possess 5 or more years' experience working in the heavy equipment repair business, which includes but is not limited to:

• Heavy equipment (construction, mining, material handling, paving, milling, etc.), strong diagnostic and repair experience
• Repair, rebuilding, or replacement of engines and other large components
• Expertise in diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, etc. systems
• Advanced computer skills utilizing Microsoft products, along with software applications in the industry
• English language reading and writing abilities
• Repair detail communication capability via clear, precise service notes on assigned work orders
• Supporting the composition of customer quotes as well as best-in-class customer service delivery
• Mentorship to junior tenured mechanics within the branch operations
• Operation of large equipment
• Such other duties as required
