Heavy Machine Operator

The Role:

The primary responsibilities and obligations of the role will be the following:

• Operations of a 360 track machine, loading shovel, sweeper, Forklift, and shunter truck to shunt yard skips and containers

• Sorting and grading of waste streams as received for achieving maximum levels of recovery.

• Responsible for taking away unacceptable waste items.

• Help with other yard responsibilities as directed by the yard depot manager. This may involve housekeeping, operation of yard sweeper, forklift, or other adhoc tasks in the yard.

• Behave professionally and respectfully towards all colleagues and members of the public.

• All staff are required to co-operate fully with all measures taken by the company for maintaining Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public.
