Job Description

We need more new colleagues and are now looking for a hydraulic engineer for our office in Molde. With us, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers who work with solutions related to hydraulics, automation, electrical, and instrumentation, where collaboration and quality are paramount. You will work with high-tech products and modern design tools, and you will develop professionally through varied and exciting projects.

NOV has been supplying crane and lifting equipment for over 75 years and has the world's most interdisciplinary and competent crane environment. NOV Molde is an internationally leading crane supplier and delivers the coolest all-electric offshore cranes. We use the latest technology in autonomy and battery. One goal is to save the environment by increasing the lifespan of existing cranes and we are always looking for smarter solutions that are less energy-intensive.

Main responsibilities and tasks: 

Your main responsibility will be to design and develop hydraulic solutions for cranes and lifting devices. You will work with, among other things: 

Design solutions for the modernization of equipment in operation
Simulation and control of dynamic systems
Preparation of documentation for compilation and testing
Technical clarifications with suppliers and customers
Assist with technical support to our aftermarket department
Assist with technical support in connection with testing
Opportunity to assist with testing
Opportunity for travel activities both nationally and internationally.
Who are you?

Education: We are looking for personnel with a bachelor's degree or higher in hydraulics, mechatronics, cybernetics, or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal expertise.
Engineering tools: Experience using tools such as Eplan, AutoCAD, MATLAB or SimulationX is an advantage.

Experience: You may be at the beginning of your career or have extensive experience – we will adapt the role to your level of experience.
