Mechanical Fitter

Job Purpose

Working under the Maintenance Shift Supervisor, this position will become part of our Engineering Team at our Port Botany Terminal in Sydney!

As a Mechanical Fitter you will maintain and repair heavy equipment and machinery to an engineering standard for safe and reliable operation. You will need to have experience in Heavy Industrial Equipment and operate a Monday to Friday Day Shift 12-hour roster. 

Key Accountabilities

-    Execute mechanical repairs, maintenance, and refurbishments on terminal assets, with emphasis on planned maintenance, equipment availability, and reliability improvements.
-    Execute maintenance and repair operations on Quay Cranes, Rubber-Tired Gantry (RTG) Cranes, and other vital mechanical equipment.
-    Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, using effective solutions to achieve functionality.
