The Hydraulic Institute is set to celebrate its 100th Anniversary in 2017. To commemorate this historic milestone, they are launching a new awards program. The HI Pump Industry Excellence Awards will honor organizations, institutions, and companies that have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the North American pump industry while helping to preserve our precious natural resources. Award recipients will be drawn from the community of pump users, owner/operators, engineering consultants, and academia.

Award nominations will be open from September 12th through December 31st, 2016. Three finalists in each award category will be selected by a jury of HI members and partners in January 2017. The winners will be announced at the Centennial Celebration Gala on March 10, 2017, in Orlando, Florida.

There are three award categories:
Environmental Impact – Awarded to the company or organization which, through their pump/system or related activities, has made a significant contribution to the overall health and vibrancy of the water resources in North America.

Energy Efficiency – Awarded to the company or organization which, through their pump/system-related activities, has made a significant impact on the advancement of energy efficiency in North America.

Innovation and Technology – Awarded to a North American company or organization which, through their commitment to and acceptance of pump/system-related technologies, has demonstrated a commitment to progress and innovation.
