Journeyperson Fitter

Prolium is the leader in above-ground storage tank maintenance. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking a Journeyman Fitter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricating and welding (SMAW) of tank components to the highest of industry standards
• Out of position welding (SMAW)
• Reading and understanding drawings and blueprints 
• Use of various tools and equipment under supervision (grinders, hydraulic jacks, etc.)
• General work with steel (grinding, buffing, oxy-acetylene use, etc.)
• Participate in all daily toolboxes and safety meetings 
• Working with the team to ensure a quality product is delivered.
• Must be physically fit and able to safely lift 50 lbs
• The work may require you to enter confined Spaces
• General job site support

Key Qualifications:

• Punctual attendance is a requirement.
• Comply with all safety requirements a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Must provide proof of completion of all required safety certifications
• Bring a positive, ‘can-do’, ‘safety first’ attitude every day
• Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license  
• Valid Journeyman Ticket or valid Apprenticeship documentation
• Interprovincial Red Seal trade ticket is an asset

H2S Alive or Awareness 
Confined Space Entry and/or Rescue
CSTS 2020
WHMIS 2015
Fall protection (an asset) 
CSA Steel boots are required. All other PPE is provided.
