Primary duties (to list a few):

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, maintain industrial equipment, resolve safety issues, and ensure overall facility maintenance.
  • Read and decipher technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and decipher schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
  • Fix or replace faulty equipment parts to reduce downtime.
  • Recommend and put into practice enhancements to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, motors, control panels, and PLC systems.
  • Operate machine tools like lathes, grinders, and welding equipment to make or fix parts.
  • Perform work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems to optimize machines.
  • Install new equipment and work efficiently with high-pressure steam, air, water, and gas lines.
  • Install electrical and electronic controls, components, piping, and tubing with accuracy.
  • Keep accurate records of time and materials, detailed records of finished work, and work effectively with others to achieve smooth operations.
